Dr. Ray Pratt shares another candid conversation with jazz icon Arnett Cobb from his Blues Tradition collection, this one recorded at City Center Motel here in Bozeman, April 1982. What a treasure it is to hear the soft spoken Arnett reflect on his memories from a life of jazz during his first Montana visit that also included a rousing 2 nights of performance at the Baxter Hotel Ballroom with myself, Bob Nell and Brad Edwards that was part of the Bozeman Blues & Jazz Society program at the time.

It was indeed an honor to know and play with the “wild man of tenor sax”, miles and miles ago but still so fresh in my mind. Many thanks to Ray for this interview. Don’t forget you can enjoy one of the Baxter Hotel performances at my Historic Sounds page with more shows coming in the near future.
