Powerful and gifted pianist David Morgenroth joins Kelly Roberti for an evening, in duet fashion, featuring the musics of BOTH Duke Ellington & Bill Evans in separate sets! Morgenroth and Roberti are remembered for their concertizing with the music of Bill Evans many times and their recent outings with the Ellington repertoire. Now they are tackling the challenge of both in the same show.. They will appear in Bozeman, MT on Saturday, February 4 at the Cikan residence (31 Hitching Post Road). This show will be truly memorable and accessible to all ages and all ears. The music of Ellington has long been that of the most chosen jazz repertoires and Bill Evans’ groundbreaking book is both touching and memorable. Morgenroth/Roberti will meet the challenges, performing some of the more unforgettable and some of the wonderfully obscure…all beautiful. Come out and swing with the music of Ellington and Evans! On Saturday, January 14 at 7:00, vocalist MJ Williams, pianist Ann Tappan and Kelly Roberti reunite to perform a special concert at the popular Daly Jazz venue in Missoula, MT.. This trio has played, recorded and traveled together for many years and this show promises to be a great one with mostly familiar material ( to the jazz wise) performed with many twists. MJ’s voice truly is one of a kind and along with Ann they have a sound not to be forgotten. Admission for this show is $25.00 and reservations are strongly recommended as the venue is very intimate and a perfect setting for this concert. Please come out to support the music.
