On Sunday, September 9 at 7:00 internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist and song stylist Andrea Wolper will be featured in concert at the Cikan residence (31 Hitching Post Road) in Bozeman. The show is for all ages and promises to be a tremendous evening of music.
Andrea Wolper has been termed a “giant singer” (In Tune Int’l) and “an audacious artist [with] an inventive, thrilling, appealing musical vision” (Blogcritics). Andrea Wolper appears frequently in her New York home base, and tours nationally and internationally. For her Montana debut, Andrea teams up with Ann Tappan at the piano and Kelly Roberti on the bass to perform selections from her repertoire which includes some selections from her widely-praised CD, “Parallel Lives” which was included in three end-of-year critics’ “best of 2011″ lists. Full of surprises, she’s as accomplished and at home with the standards of the Great American Songbook as she is with her originals and her illuminating arrangements. She’s “a singer who brings songs to life, whatever their source, working in a milieu that begins with jazz and reaches out to embrace an expressive area that is uniquely her own” (Heckman, International Review of Music). You don’t want to miss this performance. The venue is intimate and reservations are strongly suggested. Admission is $18.00. For info and reservations contact kelroberti@gmail.com.

Join Kelly for “Jazz & More” Monday, July 2nd at 7 pm in the Library’s Large Community room for an off-the-cuff interview with BoZone owner Glenn Chamberlin and some of his staff. Long before The Bozeman Brewing Company started making the paper’s namesake beer (since 1993, in fact), long before ‘the Bozone’ was synonymous with ‘BozAngeles,’ The BoZone Entertainment and Events Calendar was the ‘go to’ alternative paper to find out what’s happening here. A lot has changed during the past two decades — find out what the publication — a veritable Bozeman institution — is doing to stay on the cutting edge. This will be a blast — there’s a reason these guys are ‘alternative.’

This group plays just about everything you could imagine and much beyond imagination. The band was originally called “Kelly Roberti Electric Band” when they had a weekly gig, but, when they got “X’d” the name “Xpendables” became the appropriate moniker. This show will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 7:30 at BOZEMAN YOGA CENTER (1716 West Main- just east of 19 Ave, Bozeman, MT 59715) easy to find! DIRECTIONS: Between American Bank & Audi this space is really beautiful and can seat 100+. The Xpendables really look forward to performing in Bozeman again…We tried a month ago at a different yoga studio, unfortunately that didn’t work out. Finding a great new venue is exciting and I would love to see you all out to support the music and keep it thriving …this space has a big future with your attendance and it is really well decorated and comfortable. The stairs down are a cinch! If you need more directions please don’t hesitate to ask at kelly@kellyroberti.com This will be a tremendous evening of music. Admission is only $15.00.
