Singer/songwriter, Jake Koelzer, recently a graduate of Bozeman Senior High is currently attending Montana State University, with plans to attend Boston's Berklee School of Music Fall 2010. During high school he was accepted into countless honor choirs, including the Montana All-State, All-Northwest Mixed, All-Northwest Jazz Choir, and the 2007 National Honor Choir. He also received Bozeman High's Outstanding Musician Award of 2009. In 2007 he founded his own jazz trio, "The Jake Koelzer Trio" composed of talented young musicians from the Gallatin Valley under the age of 18.He has been featured in the HMDSS New Years Ball 2007, and the Annual Sweet-Pea Festival 2008. Opened for Nancy King and Jeni Fleming at the Jazz Montana's Gala of Music 2008, as well as the Jazz Montana’s MSU One O’clock Big Band 2009. His debut alblum "Quarter Two Three" features: Piano- Bob Britten, Bass- Kelly Roberti, Drums- Adam Greenberg, Electric- Craig Hall, Acoustic & Sax- Jake Fleming, B3- Chris Cundy.
